In our 11th year, DBA was originally founded as a youth and high school AAU basketball program. We have between 8 teams (our first year) to as many as 18 teams annually. We also offer Skill Training, Camp/Clinics, and our popular SPLASH program in the fall.

The Denker Basketball Academy is an elite-level AAU basketball program, based in San Jose, California. We practice in the Almaden Valley area, and serve surrounding communities, including Los Gatos, Willow Glen, Campbell, Santa Teresa, and more.
In 2022, DBA expanded to Redwood City, Woodside, and San Mateo, fielding middle
school AAU teams and HS teams (2025).

• OurSPLASHprograms are in the fall, September and October, on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
• TheWinter AAU season runs November through February. Tryouts are in September/October.
•  TheSpring 2025 season runs from tryouts in late January until July.

Each team practices 2x a week at local High School and Middle School gyms such
as Pioneer HS, Herman MS, Castillero MS, and Oak Grove HS, among others.

• 2practices a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays). 75-90 minutes each 15
•  5-7tournaments per season, approximately 2 tournaments per month, often 3-4 games each tournament
•  Elite coaches from local Junior College & High School programs, former players, and current college players who will work with your player on individual skills, team play, and basketball IQ.
•  Gear: DBA game uniforms, practice jerseys, t-shirts, backpacks, and training aides

Our teams are for grades 3 through High School Senior. Our Splash program also invites 2nd graders.

We have elite, highly experienced coaches who have or currently coach high school, college, internationally, and professionally. We have many current and former college players who also coach, many of which are DBA Drive alums. Coach Denker has also helped over 9 coaches move up in the profession to High School, Junior College, and NCAA Division I basketball coaching staffs.

We have Tournament Teams and Travel Teams

• Tournament Teams play in local events within the Bay Area
• Travel Teams will play in both local events and travel to NCAA certified events in Orange County, Los Angeles, Reno, and Las Vegas.

 No, during the Spring/Summer we may travel to Reno, Las Vegas, and Southern California. Each family is responsible for their own travel costs

We have had several successful girls teams through the years and invited girls to our Splash program as well. We have also sent several girls on to college hoops and have female coaches in DBA as well.

Yes, we have a DBA Drive Store set up for your to purchase Practice Jersey’s, Tee Shirts, Shorts, Hoodies, Socks, and other gear.

Yes, we set up standard payment plans in our registration portal. However, if you need additional payments, you can contact coach@dbadrive.com to receive a private plan.

Yes, we offer a 10% sibling discount when you have 2 or more children participating on our AAU Teams. We do not offer discounts to our SPLASH programs or TRAINING programs as those are individual based sessions.

Yes we do, you can apply for financial assistance by contacting coach@dbadrive.com . DBA will be in touch and can set up additional payments, reduced fees, and/or private discount codes for you to use during registration.
